To begin, the first grant awarded will be to Emory University for precision medicine research in womens health. The research we will do in women and childrens health will increasingly require big data, said Alicia Smith Ph.D., Vice Chair of Ob/Gyn Research at Emory University School of Medicine. Clouderas grant will provide us with the opportunity to be supported as we continue our informatics innovation leveraging genotype, methylation, and deep phenotypes. Cloudera expects to grow the Advisory Council over time to align with the growing number of grant applicants. Albion College suffered a 1-0 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association leading Kalamazoo College Wednesday night. “We defended really well and I’m real proud of the effort,” Albion Head Coach Eric Scott said. “We have some attacking things to go over, but Kalamazoo is a good team. I thought we played with them.” The box score reports Kalamazoo finished with a 14-3 edge in shots, but shots on goal were much closer at 5-2. Emma Tardiff tallied the lone goal with 11 minutes to play. Amanda Allen and Jenna Urso were credited with the shots on goal for Albion.
